Biography

John, an ex-geologist and frustrated historian, is the award-winning author of more 20 historical fictions and non-fiction books for young and old adults.

Guest speaker/presentation information

John has numerous, flexible presentations that deal with historical themes and events and tie in with curriculum topics as varied as the First and Second World Wars, Canadian Explorers. Geology and Plate Tectonics and Imperialism.
John welcomes questions in his presentations and is happy to cover any aspect of writing. Presentations are usually around an hour and can be tailored to suit teacher needs and student interest.
