Biography

Norma was born in Manitoba and grew up in Maillardville, BC which was an inspiration for her 3 Sophie books. She started writing picture books when her 4 children were young. After returning to teaching and becoming a teacher/librarian, she wrote many novels. A few year ago, she left teaching so now is able to write full time.

Norma enjoys author visits to schools and libraries where she shares her stories with audiences and shows students where books come from, right from the first inspiration, through the whole writing process of brainstorming, first drafts, editing, to the finished book and the mysteries of publishing.

Presentation geographic range: Vancouver, Coast, Lower Mainland, Gulf and Vancouver Islands, Thompson Okanagan, Northern British Columbia, Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, Kootenay Rockies, The Territories, Canada - beyond BC, USA
