Biography

I've been illustrating for about 20 years now and I think I might be getting the hang of it... Love my work which includes about 48 books to date (some of which I also wrote) plus a lot of educational work, advertising and magazine illustration.

Book types: picture books, juvenile nonfiction, poetry, educational books, editors, others

Guest speaker/presentation information

Library or community center visits where I draw showing my technique and talk about the business of illustration. I also speak about how kids can learn to draw. The kids watch me draw as well as doing some of their own.

Presentation geographic range: Vancouver, Coast, Lower Mainland

Presentation audience age groups: primary school, grades K-3

Giveaway book for CCBC 2009 'Let's Go! The Story of Getting fromThere to Here'. Each year the Canadian Children's Book Center gives away one book to every grade one student in Canada, totalling over 1 half million books.
