Michelle Mulder
Author/Speaker
Biography Michelle is the author of Out of the Box, After Peaches, Yeny and the Children for Peace, and Maggie and the Chocolate War, as well as four picture books. In her books and presentations to young people, she enjoys telling the stories of kids who seize life’s opportunities. When not writing or offering manuscript consulting services, she loves exploring. Her adventures include helping to dig a water pipeline in the Dominican Republic, cycling 6000 kilometres across Canada, and marrying the penpal that she began writing to at age 14. She holds an M.A. in Comparative Literature (UBC) and lives with her husband and daughter in Victoria, B.C.
