My first picture book was published by Stoddart Kids in 2002. Fitzhenry and Whiteside are the new publishers.
It was originally written as a song by my husband, Lawrence, who is an international multi award winning sculptor.

There's a synchronicity between my own internal growth and the creative process. I interpret my life's experiences through various art forms.
Hoppity Frog is based on our own experiences as a young family in the Kootenays. It is my intention to somehow create a visual interpretation of my feelings of being alive.
By "reading" my colourful and delightful illustrations one is able to glean additional messages of unconditional love and self acceptance within the "yes, dear, it really is time for bed and I mean it!" family story.
As a result, I hope that the viewer also feels something, whether it's inspiration or entertainment in some positive way.
